Skiing trip, France, Le Corbier (4/4/08-12/4/08)

There hasnt been a skiing trip at Hartcliffe for the past ten years so this year 33 students, 4 staff and 3 helpers changed that. On the 4th of April we all left on a coach and headed for France. After a 24 hour coach ride, a ferry crossing some dodgy stomachs and in between all that getting lost we finally arrived at our beautiful appartments with the most outstanding views. Every day from there on was brilliant; we skied for 4 hours a day and made the most out of the evenings. We had a bowling night, a quiz night, pool competition, birthday celebrations and not forgetting the bumborading that was amazing until Jade decided to plumet into a pole, and after all the histerics and 5 hours at hospital it turned out to be a sprain!! I think all the students would agree that the last night was the most memorable, as well as the superb dancing and the limbo, the year 10s definately out did the year 11s busting their moves on the dance floor, although I think it's fair to say they won thanks to Mitchell. Well done to Connor who won most impressive fall, Bianca who won most falls overall, Natalie who won most improved and Ben Gilbert who got skier of the week.

Overall the whole trip was a complete success and congratulations to everyone that got either one, two or three stars for their level of skiing. You were all a credit to Hartcliffe and I am extremely proud with not only your skiing but your effort, attitude and behaviour all holiday was amazing. I cant wait for nexts year's now, sign up if you're interested.

Thanks, Miss Taylor
